ABOUT
Hi, I’m Shaun —
a writer, researcher, and lifelong question-asker.

For years, I told stories through fiction. I wrote Novels, crafted worlds, and explored big ideas through made-up characters. But somewhere along the way, I started noticing that the strangest stories weren’t in my imagination — they were buried in the past.

Old newspaper clippings. Odd sightings. Unexplained discoveries. Things that made headlines once… and then vanished. The more I looked, the more I realized we’re standing on a mountain of forgotten truths — strange, fascinating, and often inconvenient to the tidy version of history we’re taught.

That’s why I started The Forgottenist.

Not to convince anyone of anything — but to show you what’s been recorded. What’s already out there, waiting to be read.
This project isn’t about answers. It’s about inviting you to dig. To think. To wonder.

Because in a world where reality is increasingly synthetic, sometimes the only way forward… is back.
How You Can Help
I'm just one guy chasing rabbit holes through dusty books, digital archives, and late-night theories. There's no university funding, no research grant — just curiosity, tea and a growing pile of browser tabs.

If you've found something here that's sparked a thought, unsettled an assumption, or nudged you down your own path of questioning — here's how you can help keep the lantern lit:
A small contribution helps me cover the time, tools, and resources needed to keep digging. It's fuel for the next revelation (or at least the next late-night research session).
This project lives and grows through curious minds like yours. Liking, subscribing and sharing the site or socials helps it reach others who are still asking why?

And if you can't, or are unable to, do any of the above, that's okay by me as well. Your presence is its own kind of support.
Thanks for being here.
